Flinders Street Railway Station is Australia’s oldest train station. Completed in 1909 with a distinctive yellow façade and prominent green copper dome, it is one of Melbourne’s most recognisable landmarks.
The station has claimed the title as the busiest suburban railway station in the Southern Hemisphere, with over 1500 trains and 110,000 commuters passing through each day. Flinders Street Station is also listed on the Victorian Heritage Register, with its 708-metre main platform being the fourth longest railway platform in the world.
