Space Place at Carter Observatory is a cutting-edge planetarium surrounded by plenty of digital experiences to take you on a virtual tour through the galaxy. Discover stories of the New Zealand skies through multimedia exhibits, gaze through the historic Thomas Cooke telescope, and look back in time with Māori starlore and the importance of Matariki. Located at the top of the Cable Car, Space Place is open from 10am daily, with select nights extended for post-sunset planetarium shows and stargazing.
